Abstract
An integrated engineering enterprise requires organizing your software tools and making them available in a distributed network. The Analysis Server allows you to "wrap" or convert design and analysis software into reusable components that can be published for users. These components become the building blocks for process integration. Analysis Server is a flexible, Java-based software server that allows you to host hundreds of wrapped applications for yourintegrated engineering processes.
Once published, you can access these components from any computer on your network, regardless of their platform type, through a simple protocol. The Analysis Server protocol is similar to the HTTP protocol used to publish web documents; as long as the components are properly placed on the server’s computer, they can be accessed and used generically.
